內容簡介
費羅禮博士於2019年9月3日辭世，生前囑託中央研究院語言學研究所南島語言專家齊莉莎研究員將其研究資料、檔案捐贈給史前館。為傳遞捐贈遺物之愛及文化近用，於今（2023）年10月土坂部落maljeveq（五年祭）前付梓出版，並回饋鄉里—土坂部落。這本“Tjuabar Paiwan Texts (1): Fieldnotes (1968-1970)”《排灣族土坂村長篇語料（一）：田野紀錄（1968-1970）》除保存了珍貴的排灣族語料以外，並可做為研究者遵循「研究倫理」的範例，也是史前館實踐「文化近用」的美好見證。
作者介紹
費羅禮（Raleigh Ferrell）博士，美國人類學家暨語言學家。於西元1968年至臺東縣Tjuabar部落（土坂部落）進行語料調查，至1970年結束，共採集了60篇故事。
Drungdrung Tjakisuvung，朱振貴，小名Utjung，為當年部落裡16歲的青年，他自學打字，也學習了費羅禮用以記錄語料的轉寫系統。
2011年，費羅禮再次聯繫上朱振貴，並邀請他繼續協助費羅禮進行語料翻譯，這些語料的蒐集、保存，朱振貴功不可沒，本集將他並列為作者，以彰顯他的貢獻。

本解說叢書分四輯，本集為第一輯，以〈費羅禮的傳記〉、費羅禮所撰寫的〈排灣族：南方的貴族〉、〈在土坂村的研究1968年至1970年〉等內容為主，後續三輯為費羅禮排灣語長篇語料選輯。
