    內容簡介
The NMP 2020 - 2022 Annual Report has taken a different approach when it comes to content editing this time around. Only key pieces of data have been shared in the main text, while the remaining statistics are attached as an appendix. To capture the day-to-day work of NMP staff, a first-person point-of-view has been adopted in the descriptive writing and a large number of pictures have been included in these sections. All these stylistic changes have been carried out to produce a report that is accessible and readable to a lay reader
    作者介紹
    Huan-Tzu Yang (Chief Editor)
Secretary-General and Director of the Secretariat of the National Museum of Prehistoric Culture
The National Museum of Prehistory (NMP) was established in 1980 in response to the discovery of the Peinan Site during the construction of the South-Link Line. After years of planning and construction, NMP was officially opened in 2002. Before the museum temporarily closed its doors to the public in June 2020 for its Space Renewal Project, which serves to rejuvenate both the museum's architectural space and permanent exhibitions, NMP has served more than 7.5 million visitors in the 18 years since its opening. During the Space Renewal Project, NMP has taken time to reflect on the changes in Taiwanese society as well as the academic circle, so that the museum could reposition itself and chart a course for its future development. In service of this objective, major changes have been made to NMP's architecture and landscape to create new routes in the museum's public service areas for museum visitors to enjoy. Additionally, the structure and content of permanent exhibitions will also be almost entirely brand-new. In this vein, the NMP 2020 -2022 Annual Report can be seen as a chronicle of the museum's transformation and rebirth.
