《華美的跫音：1960年代美軍文化影響下的臺中生活》，以「美軍在臺中」為主題，敘述1960年代越戰及美軍協防臺灣期間，美軍駐軍清泉崗空軍基地對於臺中生活和文化帶來的影響，全書以模範村、清泉崗基地、大楊油庫、美僑新村、臺中美新處、五權路、CCK俱樂部和美軍足跡館等章節，透過相關史料收集、實地訪查與珍貴照片，回顧這段重要的歷史記憶和文化生活。
作者介紹
作者/熊一蘋：本名熊信淵，1991年生，高雄鳳山人，長居臺北，臺灣大學臺灣文學研究所碩士。大學時期開始發表文學作品，曾獲林榮三文學獎、聯合報文學獎等。研究所時期嘗試自主發行作品，並接觸非虛構寫作，先後參與《暴民画報：島國青年俱樂部》、《百年不退流行的台北文青生活案內帖》、《沉舟記：消逝的字典》、《親像鳳梨心：鳳山代誌》等合輯作品，並獨立發行《超夢》、《#雲端發行》、《結束一天的方式》、《廖鵬傑》等作品。
譯者/黃美馨：中英雙母語、專業譯者、臺灣師範大學翻譯研究所博士候選人 。新加坡政府認證譯者，曾任新加坡與台灣政府機構及藝術館、博物館與文化活動翻譯。
